Hey everyone,
The search isn't working with my browser, so if I'm in the wrong section or if this has already been posted let me know...I have a 1969 Pontiac Custom S Sprint 250 all original with 200,000 miles. I live on Long Island, NY and I'm sure you know what New York City traffic is like. This has been my daily driver for over 6 years now and I ran into a little overheating problem in the city. Since then I have slowly been dropping oil pressure, and I have a feeling this engine isn't long for this world. I have a 400 block from a 77 t/a in my garage without a home. Would the motor mounts and bellhousing bolt up with the sprint muncie 4 speed? I don't want much down time with this because its the only car I have right now, so I would like to downgrade my sprint to the 400 so I can take my time rebuilding it. I really don't want my engine to seize before I rebuld it, so any insight on how i can swap this over easily would be very much appreciated. I have done plenty of engine swaps in my life, mostly chevy 350 to chevy 350 and Mitsu 4g63T to 4g63T, but I have never swapped (or even thought about swapping) my sprint for a V8. I'm sure this is very common but I would like to know of any snags that would keep my daily out of commission for more than 2 days. Thanks for the help guys!
Kevin
