ebay casting numbers help | ||
|
I looked at the ebay intake and exhaust listed as 68/69 250cid. I asked the seller for the casting numbers. Here's what was given. Someone ask about cast #'s on intake and exhaust. The intake F216, and 9783 266-35, and marked GM1. The exhaust F396, 33, A large 2 above 9782280, and an F306 or F396. Can't tell whether it is a 0 or 9. According to info I have, these castings are '66 230cid? Any help is appreciated. |

Yep. 66 Sprint/230 CID. Will work with any year Cammer though. F306 = June 30th 1966.

Interchangeable? | ||
|
Sprintbird, I have a '68 sprint intake and I'm looking for a sprint exhaust. Do you know if all the OE sprint exhausts are compatible with my '68 intake? Thanks |

I do not know for sure what manifolds mix and match. I would just search for either a matched set or a 68 exhaust.
Sorry I am not more help on this subject. Rob |

Did you find any manifolds? I may be able to help.

Yes I did. Now all I need is 4 bbl q-jet ... Do you have one hanging around

FYI on the intake and exhaust manifold interchange, 66 4 bbl intake and exhaust manifolds will not interchange with 67-69 manifolds. the main differance is
the flange were they bolt together under the carb. The 66 manifolds use a flange the uses the 1 bbl gasket (that gasket is the same from 66-69 1 bbl's) the
67-69 4 bbl engines use a larger gasket with a U shape on the side facing the drivers side front fender. I have never noticed any large difference on any of
the 67-69 manifolds. And they all will bolt up and perform the same. The 66 manifold is alittle different, and does cause a loss of about 5 HP in my
experiance. But as long as you have a matching pair of manifolds, they will bolt to any year OHC-6.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info Jeff. I ended up with a '66 intake/exhaust set and haven't had time to see if the '66 exhaust would marry up with the '68
intake. I'll post my findings to share when I get minute....
I now have a mint '68 intake that I'll be selling. |
